ABOUT JIM

Jim Grimes is an educator, broadcaster and journalist.  


He currently serves as an adjunct broadcast and journalism instructor, educator professional practice community online facilitator, and coordinator for the Illinois Broadcasters Association's Multicultural Internship Program.  He is also a news correspondent for WQNA Radio and chair of the Illinois News Broadcasters Assn. Cameras in the Courts Committee.

 

Grimes' memberships include the Illinois Broadcasters Assn., Illinois News Broadcasters Assn., Radio-TV Digital News Assn., Society of Professional Journalists/Chicago Headline Club,  Assn. for Career and Technical Education, Broadcast Education Assn., National and Illinois Education Assns., and the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communicaitons.

 

Grimes is as a Certified Radio Operator, Society of Broadcast Engineers; a Radio Marketing Professional, Radio Advertising Bureau, and a Master Online Teacher, Univ. of Illinois.  He holds an Illinois Teaching License for Communications and Media, Bachelor and Masters degrees in Urban Planning and a Master of Arts in Communication, University of Illinois.
